A local independently owned grocery store has closed it's doors. The C-Town Market on 3rd and Emerald Streets in Harrisburg has closed.
With the Market's closing, it's leaving a big void for some Harrisburg residents, especially for lower income families on the block who don't drive and depended on C-town to stock their pantries.
Edgar Molineros, a former store manager at the market says the store has been closed for about a month. Molineros said people cried when the grocery closed, for some its their only source for fresh produce.
A source close to the situation says that a Family Dollar has purchased the building, bringing a strong possibility they will stock fresh food.
