The Mayor of York is claiming a holiday miracle came a few weeks early.

“Ladies and gentlemen due to the generosity of Sprint, our friends, and families, neighbors and loved ones will all be out on December 31 to see our white rose drop, and join in our community countdown to New Years,” exclaimed Mayor Kim Bracey.

New Year’s Eve celebrations are back on for the City of York thanks to Sprint. Sprint donated $20,000 to the city to pay for the annual New Year’s Eve extravaganza.

The event usually costs the city about $35,000 but funding was cut this year from the budget.

Thanks to Sprint, the white rose drops at midnight. The celebration will begin at 645 p.m. at Continental Square.
