HIA welcomes new carrier to fly to Disney World and Orlando, Tampa

Harrisburg International Airport announced that Allegiant Air will begin flying with non-stop service to Orlando and Tampa, Florida.

Allegiant is known for having low airfares and convenient non-stop flights.

The introductory prices for flights to Orlando are as low as $65 per ticket, while a non-stop one-way ticket to Tampa is $95.

Allegiant says what separates them from other airlines is their focus on the vacation traveler.

"Many airlines target business travelers who have a totally different decision making process, largely because they're spending someone else's dollars and using a corporate credit card to book their flight," said Brian Davis, Director of Communications for Allegiant. "We're interested in serving the leisure traveler, whether it be an individual or a family who is going on vacation, and they're spending their own money. So the most important part of the decision is how much it's going to cost. So Allegiant works hard to make sure that we have great fares out there all the time."

If you want to hop a flight down to the sunshine state, Allegiant's service will begin on Halloween, October 31st. Tickets are on sale at allegiant.com.
