On July 11, police responded to a purse-snatching on Palormino Road in Dover Township.
A woman reported she had just parked her vehicle at a shopping center and was walking toward the stores when a car blocked her path. The man and woman in that car stopped and stared at the woman, and then kept going through the parking lot.
Moments later, the male passenger came up from behind and grabbed her wallet out of the cart she was pushing. The man started to run towards the car.
The victim started yelling and ran towards the man. As bystanders started to notice the situation, the man threw the wallet and got in the car.
The victim was not injured.
On Tuesday, Valeria Lynn Dattisman, 26 of Dover Township and Darren Poe, 44 of North Codorus Township were arrested for their role in the incident.
Dattisman faces one count of conspiring to commit a robbery.
Poe faces robbery, criminal conspiracy, theft and receiving stolen property charges.
Both were processed, arraigned and are currently at York County Prison.
