The amount of persons provided services has gone up over the past year. In 2010-2011 649,375 people sought help for mental illness. But between 2011 and 2012 it is projected that 653,720 people will seek care for mental illness.
This means that 1 of every 19 residents seeks help. The cost works out to be close to $4,000 for every person receiving mental health services from the state
