BEAVER, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man will spend 30 to 60 years in prison for kidnapping and repeatedly raping a woman he held captive in her apartment for several hours earlier this year.
Twenty-five-year-old Kalil Dixon was sentenced Monday for raping the woman in her New Brighton home on Jan. 7.
The victim tells the Beaver County judge that she woke up to find Dixon holding her down with his arm and a knife before he held her in the apartment for hours.
The woman says she was finally able to escape when he led her, handcuffed and with her face covered, away to his house.
Dixon didn't comment before Judge John Dohanich imposed the sentence for what he called "probably the most heinous case involving sexual assault" he had seen in 10 years on the bench.
