East Lampeter Township Police were called to Tanger Outlets for a report of a man passing counterfeit bills.
When officers arrived, they approached the man described. The man dropped the bags of merchandise he was holding and ran.
Andres Castano Rios, 27, of Queens was arrested after a pursuit on foot through the complex.
Rios had passed five counterfeit $100 bills at five different stores. He purchased inexpensive items and received between $83 and $90 in change for the counterfeit bills.
Rios was charged with five counts each of felony forgery and misdemeanor theft by deception.
