Crews responded to an early morning fire at a home along the 200 block of Bosler Avenue in Lemoyne.
We're told a four-year old child discovered the fire in the upstairs apartment.
The child alerted the father who called 911 and they were able to escape with their neighbors.
The winds made it difficult for crews to put out the flames and the fire spread.
Fortunately, an immediate response from the New Cumberland Fire Department who arrived ready to go after coming back from another call.
The American Red Cross was notified, but CBS 21 News was told the residents have family in the area.
The home is heavily damaged, but does not appear to be a total loss.
The fire remains under investigation, but fire officials say the blaze does not appear suspicious.
