A 21-year-old Harrisburg woman shot Thursday morning died of two shotgun wounds to the head and chest.
Coroner Graham Hetrick says the admitted gunman seriously wounded a second person and placed the lives of two others in jeopardy.
Tvictim is Adreanne Evans, 21, of the 900 block of North Sixth Street.
36-year-old Lagenza Junious of the same address, was arrested for her murder.
Hetrick says it was a hard thing to see. "I'm in pain. I'm in pain for what I saw yesterday. It's just sad."
It's been alleged that the victim and the gunman were previously in a relationship and recently separated. Police say Evans was shot and died in the apartment. Junious then reportedly shot her 19-year-old companion, seriously wounding him.
Hetrick says it was all about relationships. "The problem was not that he had a shot gun. The problem was that he felt his pain was more important than her life."
The coroner also said the outcome could have been worse considering the surroundings. You had a shooting in a small room with a gun that shoots thousands of bb's, a shotgun with a four month old child, the grandmother, the mother and the boyfriend. He was willing to put the child at risk and other people at risk because he didn't like his pain."
Junious turned himself in to authorities at police headquarters shortly after the shootings.
He is currently in Dauphin County Prison.
The coroner says the victim's 19-year-old boyfriend was also shot in the face.
He remains in Hershey Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
