UPDATE:
Manheim Borough Police have charged Benjamin Klinger, 19, with Criminal Homicide, homicide by motor vehicle, possession with intent to deliver, aggravated assault by vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, paraphernalia, possession of small amount of marijuana, reckless driving, safe speeds, and roadways laned for traffic.
Samantha Heller, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Klinger was the driver of the car. He was traveling westbound on 283 at a high rate of speed and left the roadway at 100 mph. The car traveled 450 feet and struck a guardrail.
It was determined Klinger did intentionally cause the crash, by intentionally driving the car into the guardrail causing traumatic injures to Heller. After the car came to a stop, Klinger sat on Heller while her face was on the ground, suffocating her. The coroner determined the suffocation caused her death.
Klinger was arrested at his home.

Police say that an unidentified 17-year-old girl was killed in the crash on 283 Tuesday morning.
19-year-old Benjamin Klinger, of Elizabethtown, was driving and was injured in the crash. He remains in the hospital.

On 12/04/12 at 2:14 AM the Manheim Borough Police Department were dispatched to a vehicle accident on State Road 283 west of Stickler Road.
Officers arrived to find a single vehicle accident on the outside berm of the west bound lanes of State Road 283. The vehicle had severe damage, with two occupants.
One of the occupants was pronounced dead at the scene. The second occupant was transported by ambulance to the Hershey Medical Center.
Susquehanna Valley EMS, Northwest EMS, Mt. Joy Fire Department, Lancaster County Crash Team and the Lancaster County Forensics Team responded to assist with the investigation.

CBS 21 News is following breaking news out of Lancaster County where Route 283 is shutdown due to a fatal crash.
The crash happened just after two this morning in the Westbound lanes near Strickler Road.
County Dispatchers have confirmed that one person was killed and another was injured.
Right now, officials at the scene aren't releasing any other details.
They expect the Westbound lanes of Route 283 to be closed from Route 772 for the next few hours.
