A Lancaster County pair satisfied many of the dumb criminal criteria on Monday, and were charged because of it.
Around 430 p.m., Walmart loss prevention spotted two suspects hiding a large purse. The female held the bag open while the male stuffed shirts in the bag.
The duo then left the store without paying for the shirts worth $16.94.
The female suspect, Natisha Gillespie, 20, was taken into custody, but the man took off.
Gillepsie was searched and had a large amount of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana hidden in her bra.
She was taken to East Lampeter Township Police Station for processing. At that time, several people arrived at the police station to check on her.
Those in the car included the male suspect, Keith Dorsey, 19 who was smoking marijuana in the vehicle.
Dorsey was charged with retail theft and drug possession. Gillespie was charged with retail theft, possession with intent to deliver and other drug possession charges.
