Police have arrested an Arkansas man after he took over $150,000 from an Upper Allen Township woman.
In December of 2010, the victim called police to say she was a victim of fraud. The victim reported she met Rodney Huston in February of 2010 when he came to her door as a salesman.
Over the next few months, Huston persuaded the victim to let him be her power of attorney. Huston then diverted money from the victim’s accounts for his personal use, which included purchasing a Cadillac Escalade.
Huston stole over $150,000 in cash and property, which left the victim homeless for a period of time.
Police did not know of where Huston was from until he was arrested in Arkansas for a crime there. After an investigation, a warrant was obtained this month for his arrest.
He was extradited back to PA on Thursday and arraigned. Bail was denied due to the possibility he could be a flight-risk.
