Lancaster Police need your help to find the person who brutally murdered an 83-year-old woman in the city.
This is the only homicide from this year that remains unsolved in Lancaster City and police want that to change.
Erma Kaylor’s obituary says she had 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Kaylor was killed back on May 16th inside of her own home on the 200 block of W. Vine Street. Her body was found by a neighbor who called police.
Kaylor lived alone with just her dog. According to the affidavit, she was brutally murdered. Her throat was cut three times.
One of the cuts was an inch deep. And court papers say she was also naked from the waste down. There were no signs of forced entry. Now, this neighborhood is nervously waiting for police to make an arrest.
“I thought they would have had something by now with all the witnesses and the coalition camera, you would have thought something would of happened by now,” commented neighbor Heather Witmer. “It’s a little nerve wracking because they haven’t done anything, yet.”
“I’m at the point where I’m getting ready to move in a few months because I don’t want my children in an atmosphere that could be unsafe for them,” stated fellow neighbor Charlie Campbell.
If you have any information on Kaylor’s murder you’re asked to call Lancaster City Police. There is a reward of $1,000. You can remain anonymous.
