In this week’s Help Wanted report, Target.
The store known for red has opportunities for you to earn green.
Target is where many folks will live once the holiday shopping season gets into full swing and Target is gearing up to add to their ranks, including the Harrisburg North store on Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County.
They have 100 jobs available in every area, cashier, photo, cart attendant, food café and the sales floor. They are looking for fast, fun and friendly people just like the work environment.
“We try to make work as enjoyable as possible, we have events to keep our team members engaged in having fun, food in the break room and morning huddle every day,” explained Executive Team Leader Moira Nugent.
If you can see yourself there, it's really easy to apply. On your next excursion to Target, you can also shop for a job.
There are two kiosks in the store to apply for the jobs, you can also go online and for those of you who are "old school", they have paper applications at the store as well.
But maybe they shouldn't make it so easy. A Target store in Los Angeles recently had 4,000 applicants for 250 spots!
Nugent says there is stiff competition at her store too.
“We do have a lot of people applying, but we're selective in who we hire cause it's definitely the personality that we need,” explained Nugent, who is targeting seasonal workers. “Experience, like i said is nice, but we can teach someone how to push carts or how to stock a shelf.”
Just because they are seasonal jobs, doesn't mean there isn't an opportunity for full time work as long as you keep your work ethic on target!
