On Thursday, the Middletown Borough Police Department were called several times for a report of shots fired or loud explosions.
Officers found a number of homemade "bottle bombs" in two locations.
Police say the first call came in around 5:30 a.m.., in the 200 block of North Union Street. Four of the devices at that location had exploded and the fifth was taken by the PSP-Hazardous Devices Unit.
The second call came in around 10 a.m., and police found three more. They were found in the 200 block of East Roosevelt. Two had exploded, and the third was vented and inactive.
Police say no one was injured and there was no property damage as a result of the explosion. Anyone with information is asked to call the Middletown Borough Police Department at 717-902-0627.
