Snow totals are expected to be highest near Franklin County.

CBS 21 is in Chambersburg as residents prepare for the storm, and PennDOT crews prepare for a long night.

Snowfall predictions for the area are around 4-6 inches, but if anyone sees more, it likely will be that area.

Folks had all night after work to get ready and some took full advantage.

You've seen this before. The bread aisle, the milk aisle and also the toilet paper aisle, just a few of the staples needed in case you get snowed in.

But before every big snow storm, it is what people do.

“I'm looking forward to it,” exclaimed Bonita.

Chambersburg is expected to get the brunt of the storm, and locally-owned Sunny Way Grocery Store is flourishing because of it.

Starting at midnight, the PennDOT station in Chambersburg will deploy six of Franklin County's 35 plows.

Each will be packed to the brim with salt, working to keep interstates clear, and give secondary roads attention early and often.

A Franklin County supervisor told us they're approaching this like a regular storm.

The plows will have great accessibility, if the storm begins after midnight.

And if you don’t have to head to work or travel Wednesday, it might be best to take a snow day and just stay home!
