In Dauphin County, crowds gathered in front of the AES/PHEAA building in Harrisburg, outraged as student debt soars over a trillion dollars nation wide.
Protestors calling for answers and asking that loan agencies step forward to cut down student debt.
“The agencies that oversee this, that are loaning us the money need to be responsible so that students and citizens of the Commonwealth who are going to school don't end up putting themselves in too much debt before they even have a chance to get a job,” explained protestor Greg Riedlinger.
A PHEAA representative says they agree with the protest and that their role as an agency is to create affordable access to education by keeping students out of debt as much as possible.
