A Perry County man is facing numerous child molestation charges. A relative of his also faces child endangerment charges.

Neighbors say one of the pair operated a daycare out of their Perry County home.

It's unclear if the victims are children who used the daycare.

Court documents say the alleged incidents happened in August, charges were filed last week.

According to neighbors, 339 Lincoln Drive in Duncannon always has a steady flow of kids coming in and out.

“She’s always had children, everyday I’d guess you call it a daycare,” explained neighbor Peg Ryan. According to neighbors, Susan Cliber ran a child care out of the home.

Friday she faced eight counts of endangering the welfare of a child by a parent/guardian or other.

Richard Cliber faced three counts of aggravated indecent assault and four counts of indecent assault, all against a child less than 13.

Richard also faces a single indecent exposure charge.

Court documents don’t specify what the relation is between Susan and Richard or any specifics about a childcare facility.

“We just want to ask you about the charges against Susan & Richard Cliber,” we asked people at the home. However, a group of five people sitting inside the home refused to answer the door.

“Are you Susan Cliber?” questioned CBS 21 News. At that an unidentified woman rushed past us to get inside and would not answer our questions.

“Is this a daycare facility?” we questioned, to no avail.

Neighbors say they didn't hear about the charges and defended the Cliber family.

“They’re very good people and very nice people,” explained Sherry Svirbely. “They are fine, upstanding people.”

We reached out to Penn Township Police and were told the Chief has no interest in releasing a press release.
