Jerry Sandusky's next stop is the Camp Hill Prison in Cumberland County, just four minutes away from the Capital City Mall. CBS 21 went there to find out if local resident thought justice has been served.

No one we talked to had any sympathy for their soon to be new neighbor, nor put any credence into his courtroom pleas Tuesday that he was a falsely convicted innocent man.

“He is a crazy person, he's got a problem, all the information that has been put up against him and he can still maintain his innocence there is something wrong with him definitely,” stated Mitch Herman.

“I think he is very much in denial of his situation, absolutely,” added Rebecca Ledford.

“I think he thought he'd never get caught after all this time,” believed Jessica Lahr.

“He has got to be sick, there is something wrong with him, there is really something wrong with him, personality disorder or something like that,” questioned Dean Ruple.

No one thought the sentence was too harsh, no one even thought that he should ever enjoy another day of freedom

“I think he should rot in jail,” one commented.

“Justice isn't ever going to get served really, I mean to all the victims, so but what he got, he should be put away for the rest of his life,” added another

“30-60 years, not sure if it can ever be enough for the victims,” concluded one of those at the mall.

Should Sandusky ever even be in a 'general' jail population?

“That might be a good thing, might be a bad thing, he needs to get what he deserves,” commented one person we interviewed.

“Certainly, I don't think he would survive there,” added another.

Hopefully we are near the beginning of the end of this horrible saga.

“Time that it goes away, it really is,” one person urged. “It's time that people move on and wouldn't that be wonderful.”

Camp Hill is the state’s 'Diagnostic & Classification' prison, after his time here one place Sandusky may be sent is the state's minimum security Laurel Highlands facility in Somerset, it houses geriatric and mentally ill inmates.

Or he might just stay in Camp Hill as there may be too much of a risk, both to the state and to Sandusky to ever have him in the general population of a prison anywhere in the state.
