The 18-wheeler plunged off Interstate 83 northbound just past exit 16B just after midnight.
We're told crews are taking their time because they think the truck had some type of hazardous substance on board.
A hazmat team was called to the scene, along with the Department of Environmental Protection because of ammonium sulfate.
Early reports says a man was trapped inside the truck, but officials on the scene won't confirm the driver's current condition.
They do tell us, when they found the driver, he had quote, "significant injuries."
Right now, fire crews on the scene are working to bring the wrecked truck up onto Pauline Drive, which is closed in the area of the crash.
Crews expect it to be closed for sometime as they continue to clean up this accident scene.
