It was a scary situation for dozens of people who were evacuated from two businesses in York County this afternoon. Police say a woman called both places and said she planted bombs.
It turns out it was a false alarm, but police still take these calls very seriously.
This is nothing new for the Walmart in Springettsbury Township, where they've had bomb scares before. Each time police respond quickly and take every precaution to keep you safe.
Police and special bomb sniffing dogs searched the building for explosives.
"Shocking! Now i can't get my grocery shopping done i wanted to get that done, guess i will head to giant. But, yeah it's really something. Surprising that it would happen right here." said Kellie Perry of York County.
Darren Fife also was trying to go to Walmart to get grocery shopping done. "It's insane. I wanted to come here. I wanted to come here and do my grocery shopping."
Police say that around 2:30 Friday afternoon, a woman called the Sovereign Bank in Shrewsbury Borough, upset, saying she planted a bomb. Then about 20 minutes later police say she called the Walmart store and said she planted a bomb there as well.
Both businesses were immediately evacuated.
"I drove in here at the sight of everyone scrambling. I mean i didn't see what went on in there but everyone is out on the sidewalk." a witness said.
Lieutenant Todd King of the Springettsbury Township Police Department said, "Walmart personel assisted the police department and evacuated the building, since that time we waited for K9s to get here. The building is now being searched by the k-9 bomb sniff dogs."
Police say that there have been a number of bomb scares at this Walmart off East Market Street. Each time they respond in full force.
Police didn't find anything, and both businesses are back open.

The Wal-Mart was evacuated and police are currently searching the store for any potential threats.
