MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has been jailed on charges that he raped an unconscious woman while her children were nearby, including one youngster who allegedly witnessed part of the incident.
Online court records don't list an attorney for 45-year-old Albert Carnes Jr., of Mount Pleasant.
Police in the borough about 35 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, say the woman and Carnes went to her home after a party and that she was unconscious after taking an unspecified medication for and unspecified condition.
Police say one of the woman's three children saw Carnes sexually assaulting the woman while she was partially dressed and police say they later found evidence of sexual contact.
Carnes faces a preliminary hearing on rape and other charges on Aug. 9.
