State Police in Jonestown are investigating the death of an unidentified body found by a hunter on Thursday.
The body was found a quarter of a mile northwest of the Appalachian Trail and half a mile southwest of the intersection of Route 72 and Route 443 in Union Township.
The body was found in a green camping tent and is badly decomposed and cannot be identified. The body is that of a male between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 9.
The tent, hiking shoes and some other items may have been purchased at Bass Pro Shops. Also found were two orange t-shirts with black lettering. One has Eat Pennsboro Soccer on the front of the t-shirt and JU-YA on the back.
The other t-shirt has severe three and four digit numbers on it along with a crescent moon and the words “Swinging Thru the Night”.
