Around 1240 p.m. Wednesday, a family from Mechanicsburg vacationing was waiting out a storm under umbrellas.
Wildwood Beach Patrol, along with Wildwood Fire Rescue showed up to find that the family was huddled together when a lightning strike occurred near the umbrellas.
It does not appear that any one person was struck by the lightning.
Three subjects were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
