Some of the top local pizzerias will show off at Wilson College on Saturday, November 3 in the first Pizza Wars.
The event will be held at Wilson College's Laird Hall and is open to everyone. It will be held from 3 to 8 p.m.
Tickets are $10 if bought in advance, and $12 at the door. The price of the ticket gets the buyer the opportunity to sample 10 different pizzas.
Children 12 and under will get five pizza samples for the ticket price of $5 in advance and $6 at the door.
Beer and other cold drinks will also be sold at the event, with a radio station playing music and free give aways as well.
Ticket holders will vote for the “Best Overall Pizza” and “Best Specialty Pizza.” The overall winning pizza establishment will receive a $1,000 advertising package with radio station 101.5 FM and the winner of the best specialty pizza will get a plaque.
