The district attorney says investigators have made an arrest in the death of a 19-year-old woman in Gettysburg.
Early Friday morning, 19-year-old Shiphod Brown was murdered in Gettysburg. Monday afternoon, the Adams County District Attorney announced that they have a suspect in the case.
27-year-old Prince James Brantley of York Street in Gettysburg is now charged in the killing of Shiphod Brown.
It appears that she was not the intended target, as police now accuse Brantley of shooting four or five bullets into the car Brown was in with her boyfriend.
The DA would not say if the boyfriend was the intended target, he did say it was not gang related.
There is an interesting twist here because while the suspect in this case, Prince James Brantley, showed up on his own to the State Police barracks in Gettysburg, the DA refused to say that Brantley turned himself in as he was arrested after questioning.
Brantley is now in the Adams County Prison without bail.
The investigation of this tragic shooting is far from over and according to the DA more arrests are expected.
