UPDATE:

Could this be the night that makes up minds, changes minds, and is the night that determines the election?

One of the largest local groups to watch this debate was a group of college students at Carlisle's Dickinson College.

Did the candidates help young undecided or wavering voters make up their minds?

It was good to see a nice crowd of young voters and we think it was more than just the free pizza that brought them. The vast majority of those that were at the debate watch party have their mind made up on who they are going to support.

However, we are focusing in on several undecided young voters that may have made up there minds based on what they saw here Monday night.

Ashieda McKoy is leaning towards voting for the president, but looking for answers.

“Very through answers, I don't want people to gloss over things, I want to know, I'm a very interested voter so I want to know what their plans are, I want details,” McKoy commented.

Michael Meyers is leaning towards voting for the challenger.

“I think it will be interesting to see how they can tie what's going on with the European Union and in Europe right now the economic situation and it how it affects our economy, because I think it plays a huge role,” Michael Meyers told us.

Also leaning towards the president is Adam Laird. “If someone comes out and starts saying about war with Iran, really saying it is a real possibility, I'm going to be a little bit worried about that,” Laird told us.

While some are firmly committed to their candidate, Emily Blau is not.
“I have close family in Afghanistan and so I'm waiting to hear about final decisions about the war,” Blau advised us.

Since none of the students are the ballot ... yet, did tonight help our leaning young voters firm up their decision or perhaps change their mind?

To hear whether those students held the same opinions after the debate was over, be sure to watch the video.

We were at the first debate which the students said was won by Romney. However, Monday night the students felt Obama came out ahead and as far as our undecided voters, Emily promised us she would have the answer by the end of the week.

Could Monday night be the night that makes up minds, changes minds, and determines the election?

One of the largest local groups to watch the last debate is a group of college students at Carlisle's Dickinson College.

Of course the results of the election will impact us all, but one of the groups that feel the greatest effect from the result are young voters, but they often are thought of as those who are the most detached from the election process.

Is an undecided voter, somewhat like Bigfoot, often talked about, but rarely seen in the wild?

According to the current polls there is still a sliver of the population that is sitting on the fence.

Monday night's debate will focus on foreign policy and there are few that will be impacted more than Nasim Fekrat, a senior who has one more year to finish his studies before he goes back home to Afghanistan.

So Monday night not just the eyes of the nation, but the eyes of the entire world are on the U.S.’s two potential leaders.

Professor Lenior told us that one of the keys is also about not making a mistake, creating a sound bite that will be heard over and over and help their opponent.

We will be here at Dickinson watching the debate with the students to see what kind of impact the candidates words and actions have on the students and their vote on November 6.
