UPDATE: Love triangle causes man to attack man with a samurai sword

UPDATE:

A man from Lower Paxton Township is behind bars after he attacked a man with a samurai sword.

The attack came as part of a love triangle that went wrong.

Thursday, that man is behind bars after he stabbed a man with a samurai sword.

Police arrested 31-year-old Edward Peters for attempted homicide and aggravated assault after stabbing a 21-year-old man from New Cumberland.

The incident happened in the 200 block of Lafayette Street Wednesday night when the 21-year-old was waiting in his car for his girlfriend to get some things from her ex-boyfriends apartment.

While the girlfriend was inside, the ex-boyfriend, Edward Peters attacked him through the open car window.

The man was stabbed in the hands, arm, back, and chest and was treated for his wounds at Harrisburg Hospital and released.

Neighbors say that they don't feel safe in this neighborhood, especially after police told them they were looking for blood last night while residents were taking out their trash.

Peters is currently in Dauphin County Prison with bail set at $500,000. His preliminary hearing is set for August 21st.

Lower Paxton Township Police have arrested a Township man for Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault for attacking a New Cumberland man with a sword in the 200 block of Lafayette St. last night. 

Police were called to a Harrisburg area hospital where the victim who is 21 years old was being treated for several stab wounds to the hands, arm, back and chest. 

He told police that he had been in his car in the driveway of the Lafayette St. apartment building waiting for his girlfriend to retrieve items from her ex-boyfriend’s apartment when he was attacked through the open car window by the ex-boyfriend, Edward Albert Peters, 31 years of age, who was wielding a samurai style-sword.  

Peters was arrested at his residence this morning without incident.  The victim was treated for his wounds and was released.

Peters was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Joseph Lindsey where bail was set at $500,000.  He was taken to Dauphin County Prison to await an August 21st preliminary hearing.
