A new study says Pennsylvania had one of the highest percentages of teen employment last year compared with other states.

The report, released Monday by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, says about 39 percent of Pennsylvania teens age 16 to 19 held jobs in 2011. The national average was 26 percent.

California had the lowest teen employment rate at 18 percent, while Florida had the highest at 46 percent.

Despite these numbers, the study found that overall teen employment is at it's lowest point since the 1950's.
