Dauphin County Commissioners recognized two emergency service providers with the Craig Webb Memorial Award on Wednesday.
Swatara Township Police Detective Chris Everett was honored as police officer of the year. He has spent the past 25 years in law enforcement.
He was called a tenacious investigator, always dependable and expertly trained. His father joined him at the ceremony.
Bob Stout accepted two honors on behalf of his late wife, Kimberly who died this year from cancer. She was recognized as fire fighter of the year and EMS responder of the year.
She was also active with the county's Hazmat team and a volunteer at the county communications center. Her daughter and son joined their father in accepting the awards.
