On August 27, a home in the 200 block of Lantern Lane was burglarized during the day.
The suspect, Nathaniel Herring, 21 of Chambersburg, entered the home by forcing open the front door. Once inside, he took a laptop computer and numerous pieces of jewelry.
An investigation found that Herring made contact with several other residents in the area, knocking on doors and asking to do odd jobs for the residents.
Police also learned that Herring had sold numerous items from the burglary at a local business.
Herring was arrested and placed in Franklin County Prison on $50,000 bail
